PRESENTATIONS
Members of the police force 10 .the Franklin district this week fafewelled Constable W. Mawhinneyy who has resigned owing to ill-health. A presentation was made by Sergeant J. I. Cowan. Constable Mawlnimey was later the guest of the Pukfikohe lire lirigrade at ft social evening, where a further presentation was made by Superintendent N. L. Brown on behalf of the members of tlie brigade. The suppliers and stuff of the J uakan branch of tbo New Zealand Co-opera-tive Dairv Company met this iveek to farewell Mr. E. Addy, the ; factory manager. He was presented .with a set of cutlery from the suppliers and directors, and a silver tea service from the factory staff and contractors. Mr. Addy, who has been in. Tuakau for 11 years, will take over the managership of the company's factory at Otdrohanga. The staff of the New Zealand Dairy Company's butter factory at Pneroa farewelled the manager, Mr. L. V. Morris, who has been transferred to Tuakau. The presentation of a barometer was made by the first assistant, Mr. F. Pitts, who referred to the happy association the staff had always maintainad with Mr. Morris.
