WEEK-END ATTRACTIONS
FOOTBALL IN THREE CODES HOCKEY REPRESENTATIVES The first appearance of the two promoted second division teams, Technical Old Boys and Training College, will add interest to the second round of the senior Rugby championship games to-day. Technical will meet Marist at Sturges Park, and Grafton will oppose Training College at the Showgrounds. The main game at Eden Park is between Ponsonby and Grammar Old Boys. With four teams equal in the Auckland Rugby League senior championship the competition has reached an interesting stage. With the first series of games in the second round completed, Manukau, Richmond, Marist and Mount Albert are leading. The two main games at Carlaw Park today are between Richmond and Ponsonby and Newton and Mount Albert. At Blandford Park Thistle and Ponsonby are due to meet in the replay for the final of the Chatham Cup. Country Week at the Remuera hockey grounds will close this afternoon with two representative games. In the curtain-raiser the Town juniors will meet the Country B representative side, the main game being between the Country A team and lown seniors. The main feature of week-end golf is the inter-club match between the North Shore and Pupuke clubs, to be played on the latter's course. The Auckland Basketball Association will continue its competitions with another series of games at the Windmill Road courts this afternoon.
