MANY CENTURIES SCORED PERFORMANCES OF HAMMOND LONDON, June 21 Several centuries were scored in the latest series of English county cricket matches, while in other instances excellent bowling figures were recorded. Hammond (Gloucesteshire) scored 110 and 123 against Derbyshire, and thus equalled Hobbs' record of making two centuries in a first-class match on six occasions. The results were:— ESSEX V. Middlesex won by one wicket. WORCESTER V. SUSSEX Worcester—First innings, 108 (Hammond fivo for 52) j second, 375 (Gibbons 118; Wood B ' X Suhsox.—First innings. 330 (Oakes I<lß not out); second, four for 208 (John Langridge 81 not out). Sussex won by six wickets. WARWICKSHIRE V. NORTHANTS Warwickshire. —First innings, 184 (Buswell six for 70); second, fivo for 285, declared (Wyatt 121). Northants. —First innings, 101; second 128. Warwickshire won by 150 runs. YORKSHIRE V. SURREY Yorkshire. —First innings, 410 (Barber 157, Smailes 110). Surrey.—First innings, 52 (Bowes six for 32, Smailes four for 10); follow-on, 102 (Hutton five for 45). Yorkshire won by an innings and 202 runs. GLAMORGAN V. CAMBRIDGE Glamorgan.—First innings, 388 (Dyson 117, Smart 05); second, eight for 344, declared (E. Jones 132). Cambridge.—First innings, 338 (Langley 110); second, four for 288 (Gibbs i 33).
