GOLDEN JUBILEE
GIRLS' GRAMMAR SCHOOL PREPARATIONS FOR EVENT Of special interest to hundreds of old girls will be the golden jubilee celebrations of the Auckland Girls' Grammar School, which will take place in September. Committees have been formed and efforts are being made to cet into touch with all who attended the school. As a result it is expected that there will be a big rally of old tfirls. It is not easy to make contact with old girls of the school, especially those who have changed their name and in numerous cases left the city, and a request is made to these not only to send in their own names to the secretary but the names of other old girls witit whom they are acquainted. A few years ago the jubilee of the boys' school was celebrated, and past pupils came from all parts of the .Dominion in honour of the event. The traditions of the girls' school are equally fine, and tjiose who are working for the success of the jubilee expect a similar response. The secretary to the jubilee committee is Miss Myrtle Burns, of Mount Eden.
