KILDARE CONSOLIDATED A loss of £BS as against £3196 in tho previous year is shown in the annual report of tho Kildare Consolidated Gold Mining Company, Limited* Otago, for the year ended December 31, 19:37. Gold won totalled 2360z. 18dwt., compared with 1990z. in tho previous year. . , Work continued steadily during the major portion of the year, states the directors' report, and has been confined for the whole of the period to the Surface Hill claim, where the ground, although easily worked, has not coi> tained gold in very large quantities. There is still a large area of this type of country ahead, and it is proposed to continue the present form of operations. There is always the possibility that the "round ahead-may improve in value, but lack of finance renders-impossible any testing. * YIELDS OF COMPANIES Mataki Junction (Murchjson). —4703., from 21,000 yards in 129 hours.
