ACCUMULATION OF WORK LONG LIST AT CHRISTCHURCH [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday What almost certainly constitutes a Christchurch record in proceedings for Dominion awards is set by tho programme which will face tho Second Arbitration Court when it begins its sitting in Christchurch on July 20. In addition to Dominion award proceedings, there are many "local awards, apprenticeship questions, interpretations and compensation cases to occupy the Court's attention, and it appears that it will bo one of the longest business sessions of tho Court to be held here.
The Dominion award disputes include tinsmiths and sheetmetal workers, local body drivers, general motor and horse drivers, motor mechanics and garage attendants, comprehensive engineers, boilcrmakcrs and moulders, chemical, manure and acid workers, biscuit and confectionery workers. There is also tho South Island urban local body labourers, tho Canterbury, Nelson and Marlborough tailors and tailoresses, and tho Canterbury and Westland concrete workers. Canterbury disputes-include male and female hairdressers' assistants, dentists' assistants and technicians, shop butchers' assistants, blue workers, milk roundsmen and pasteurising depot assistants, brewers and maltsters, and wholesale druggists' employees.
