FLOOD DANGER PASSES
HEAVY RAIN IN TARANAKI MINOR INCONVENIENCE CAUSED [by telegraph OWN correspondent] NEW PLYMOUTH. Thursday A threat of floods in Central Taranaki as a result of yesterday's heavy rain did not materialise, and the only damage is a few slips on the roads, minor washouts and some inconvenience to traffic as a result of small stretches of road being under water. Rain fell only in squalls to-day and the streams returned almost to normal.
