SACRED HEART BALL

OLD BOYS' ASSOCIATION

MANY MEMBERS PRESENT AN OUTSTANDING SUCCESS Outstanding success marked the annual ball of the Sacred Heart College Old Boys' Association held last night in the Peter Pan Cabaret. The association's colours of dark blue, light blue and red, were featured in the decorations, streamers in theso shades being suspended crosswise across tho ceiling and flanked at each side with single streamers in the same colours.

Cubicles had been reserved at the far end of the cabaret for representatives of the King's College, Auckland and Mount Albert Grammar Schools' Old Boys' Associations, th» shield of each school being erected outside the respective cubicles, while the Sacred Heart College Old Boys' Association shield was also prominently placed. In addition to representatives from King's College and the two grammar schools, there were present members of several other school associations in Auckland.

An attractive interlude was provided during the evening when the men congregated in the centre of the ballroom to sing their college song and perform the traditional haka. This item was received with enthusiasm by the guests.. The Oommlttee On arrival the visitors were received by the president of the association, Mr. J. McD. Coleman., and Mrs. Coleman, who was wearing a frock of black cire satin with a sequinned yoke and petnnia sash. The following were chaperones and members of the committee: —Mrs. J. C.
