HARBOURMASTER'S REPORT There was an increase of 31,742 ton* in overseas shipping at the port of Auckland last month, compared with May last year, and inter-colonial vessels showed a decrease of 13,777 tons gross, according to a return placed before the Auckland Harbour Board yesterday by the harbourmaster, Captain H. H. Sergeant. The increase m overseas tonnage represented two ships. The return showed aggregate arrivals at 497 vessels, and included 28 British oversea merchant ships, 424 provincial coastal, and 23 coastal ships. The total gross tonnage was 487 ; 799. In the same period 17 vessels with a gross tonnage of 4227 arrived in the Manukaa Harbour, a decrease of 280 tons.
