BIG PRICES REALISED RARE SCOTTISH VOLUME LONDON, May 31 The "Hystory and Croniklis of Scotland," issued in Edinburgh in 1536, and written by Hector Boece, who aided Bishop Elphinstone to found Aberdeen University in 1505, was sold at Sotheby's for £9OO. Only three copies survive. The book will remain iji Britain, although the purchaser's name was not disclosed. Leaves printed by Caxton were also sold. The British Museum bought for £640 116 leaves of "The Book of Divers Ghostly Matters," issued in 1491. Unnamed purchasers bought 103 leaves of "The Canterbury Tales" (1478) for £B2O. A complete copy of >' Cordiale ' or Four Last Things " (1479) fetched £BSO.
