AMERICAN SPY TRIAL f " NON-ARREST AT CHERBOURG CHERBOURG, Juno 2 When the liner Hamburg arrived at Cherbourg tho police did not attempt to arrest Werner Gudcnberg, an important witness in the United States spy trial, who escaped from surveillance in New York on May 26 by the liner. A ship's officer announced that Gudenberg would be handed over to the Hamburg police.
