SUPERANNUATION PLAN
FARMERS' UNION REQUEST BENEFITS TO ALL WHO PAY [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] , CHRISTCHUKCH, Friday A superannuation scheme with benefits to all contributors, regardless of their income, is desired by the North Canterbury district of the New Zedland Farmers' Union. Tho annual provincial conference passed the following resolution: — "That this conference recommends tho Government to establish a compulsory superannuation scheme, the benofits to apply to all contributors, regardless of income, on reaching the ago of sixty or previous incapacity, and the contributor's or his beneficiaries' interest in the fund to be inconvertible for any purpose whatever. It is recognised that it may bo necessary to increase the contributions of or limit tho benefits payable to contributors according to the ago at which they commence paying into the fund. It is recognised also, that below a certain minimum income an old-age pension might still requiro to be paid, as at present, to certain persons commencing contributing to the f un d a lato age."
