RADIANT HEALTH CLUB
TREATING" AILMENTS Health from an astrological angle •was explained in an interesting anu able manner by Miss Irene Rutherford in an address given to members or the Radiant Health Club. . * "Health is a pearl of great price, said Miss Rutherford. "It _is also natural ar.d governed by divine or universal laws, which are not made ior the few, but for all. "The sun and all the planets set up different conditions which affect this earth, and are responsible for the different seasons. They also influence thd life on the earth, human or otherwise Nature brings forth her various lifegiving products at different seasons, so as° to benefit mankind when these elements are most needed." Most people were ignorant of these laws and conditions, continued Miss Rutherford. But, without knowing it, they responded to them. They were apt to 'brood unwisely over the adverse aspects, till they became fixed in their minds,' and so manifested in their bodies and lives as ailments and disharmony. When people learned about these divine and governing laws, they would'work with them, and not against them, with broken minds and bodies as results. Every adverse aspect would then mean something to them, and in overcoming the adversity, they would have accomplished something to their own advantage. "In ancient times medical science and treatment were based on the science of astrology, as the patient's birth date and place played a big part in the treatment of the patient," said Miss Rutherford. "Even modern medical science, with or without knowing it, takes advantage of the planetary conditions and effects in the treatment of the various ailments, sunray treatment being one of them, while radium may be another. "People at certain times of the year are lacking in a few life-giving elements. These could easily be replaced in the food eaten. People would then have to have some knowledge of the value of their daily food, also of the requirements of the body." Madame L. Fordham gave two solos, playing her own accompaniment meanwhile. Mrs. A. B. Jackson presided.
