MATCH ON SATURDAY NIGHT BLOMFIEL.D OPPOSES STEELE | Ray Steele, tho Los Angeles wrestler, who i arrived in Auckland on Monday, will meet Lofty B loin field, Ihe New Zealand cham--1 pion, at the Town Hall on Saturday night. Both have, had drawn matches against Bronko Nagurski, tho world champion, within ihe past few months, a feat which has been achieved by few, if any, other wrestlers while Nagurski has held the title. Then, again, both favour the elbow jolt or forearm smash as a means of reducing his opponent to a state in which he can be easily handled, and there will be no lack of excitement Tor the spectators when they start trading jolts. Both Steele and Blomfield are big and powerful men, Steele being Oft in height and weighing over 10 stone, so that the issue will have to be, settled by skill or good fortune. In experience Steele has a big advantage over Blomfield, having been competing as a professional since 15)10. Ho has seen champions rise and fall, but all the lima has been knocking at tho door himself and more than once he has been extremely unfortunate in not lifting Ihe title. Steele has mastered all the orthodox holds and also has some specialties of his own, at least two of which have only recently been added to. his repertoire. In Jensen he will ' be meeting a powerful anil speedy opponent. who has proved popular by reason of his \ attractive methods.
