SHORTAGE OF LABOUR CONDITIONS IN WAIKATO [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday In common with other parts of tho Dominion, the Waikato had experienced a definite shortage of skilled labour, said the president, Mr. M. H. Stapleton, at the annual meeting of the Hamilton Master Builders' Association last evening. Mr. Stapleton said most of the men applying for jobs were found to be unsuitable for the district. During the year the rules had been amended, and tho district had been extended to cover a radius of 40 miles from Hamilton. An effort was being made to increase the country membership. It was stated that the next Dominion conference would be held in Hamilton. The election of officers resulted: — President, Mr. D. C. Street; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. M. H. Stapleton and D. I. Gate; executive, Messrs. C. L. Rawlinson, W. F Bulford, L. L. Aiken, W. B. Young, F. G. Church, W. Short, L. C. Winthrop, and P. G. Howell.
