OUTSTANDING BIRDS BREEDS UP TO STANDARD PIGEON SECTION IMPROVES [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday The judges of the poultry section at the Winter Show stated that the entries generally were good. Most br.eeds were well up to standard and the winning birds in most of tho sections could confidently compete in any part of the Dominion. The pigeon entries showed further improvement on those of last year, the winning tumblers, fantails and homers all being birds of excellent quality. Several nice type bantams came forward, the winner of the North Island Old English championship being a particularly fine specimen.
