TOUR OF ENGLISH TEAM The financial statement presented nt the annual conference of the Australian Football Association showed a profit ol £,'5038 9s lid on the English tour. To the total receipts of £11,371, New South Wales contributed £7884, Queensland £2286, Victoria £844, Western Australia £246. and South Australia £246. Grounds cost £1942, accommodation £670. travelling expenses £607, overhead £2050, allowances £9<B. The total attendance at the 10 games was 1 ,'15,552, with the first test match in Sydney drawing the area test crowd —37j295, and takings £.' i 101. In the division of profit New South Wales received £1457, Queensland £B2l, Victoria £376, Western Australia £43. South Australia £5, and the Australian Association £242. On the whole of the vear's working there was a profit of £IOBB. Unless the Indian Soccer team can arrive in Australia by August 9, the proposed tour will be cancelled, and a Jewish team invited from Palestine. An international programme extending to 1943 includes interchange of visits with South Africa and England, and visits of Scottish and French combinations.
