VICE-REGAL CEREMONY

ORDER OF ST. JOHN INVESTITURE IN AUCKLAND An investiture by His Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Galvray, of Auckland members of the Venerable Order of St.' John of Jerusalem R-ho have received promotions or admissions recommended by Commandery-Chapter to Grand Priory, approved by the Grand Prior and" sanctioned bv His Majesty the Sovereign Head, will take place at 11 a.m. on June 13. An announcement to this effect was made from Government House yesterday. The members to be honoured are:— Promotion to the Grade of Commander (posthumous award). —The late Dr. Neil McDougall (from officer). Admission in the Grade of Commander. —Sir Henry Hfjrtou. Promotion to the Grade of Officer.— Mr. Ughtred Hitchon (from serving brother). Admissions in the Grade of Serving Brother. —Messrs. Frank Crosslev Mappin, Alfred James Murdoch ("\Yhangarei), Thomas Alexander Low. Admissions in the Grade of Serving Sisters. —Mrs. Jane Mackay and Miss Florence Fox.
