DISABLED SOLDIERS
SPECIAL INSTITUTION URGED [BY TELEGRAVn —I-RESS ASSOCIATION] WANGANUI, Tuesday "The timo is not far distant when it will be necessary to provide an institution between the Public Hospital and the Jubilee Home for the accommodation of burnt-out soldiers," said Mr. F. G. Seddon, secretary, at to-nicht's annual meeting of the Waneanui Returned Soldiers' Association. This statement was mado by Mr. Seddon following a discussion on the plight of a member, aged 46, who had been sent from the hospital to the homo. It was suggested by the secretary that a remit should bo forwarded to the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association conference, proposing that the Government should act in conjunction with hospital boards in seeking a way to deal with the problem. Another member suggested that the national canteen fund should be utilised and an institution erected for the purpose of accommodating aged returned soldiers.
