PORTER'S FATAL DELAY, MESSAGE NOT UNDERSTOOD LOXDOX, May 27 The coroner told the jury, at the inquest into the victims of the underground railway smash of May 17, that an inexperienced porter at Temple Station was told by telephone from Charing Cross of a signal wiving fault at the latter station. He was unable to understand wliat was meant by the porter at Charing Cross Station, but eventually realised its seriousness and rushed to stop the trains. He was » minute too late.
