The main armament is 10 14in. guns. The weight of the broadside is 15,6001b., which is 40 per cent below that of the battleship Nelson, but is compensated for by more rapid fire. The weight of the armour protection is 13,000 tons. The ships will mount the most powerful anti-aircraft batteries afloat.
