WOMEN'S DIVISION
Pukekohe East.—Results of elections .at tho annual meeting were: —President, Mrs. L. Morgan; secretary, Mrs. A. Williams; treasurer, Miss Malcolmson. Mesdames Grubb and Morgan and Miss Easton were in the charge of the competitions. Winners were Mesdames Williams, S. Hamilton, Coutts and M. Johnston. The points prize, given by Mrs. W. Morgan, was won by Mrs. M. Johnston. Paerata. —Mrs. Dyer presided at the monthly meeting. The report and balance sheet showed a satisfactory year. Results of elections were: —President, Sirs. Dyer; vice-presidents, Mesdames J. Pegler, Bowman and Dunnet; secretary, Mrs. S. Pegler; committee. Mesdames Kayes, Moffit, Scott, Clark, Lumsden, Pethybridgo, Illsley, Keith, Schlaeplier, Adams and Taylor; delegates to Waitemata executive, Mesdames Dyer, J. Pegler and D. Adams. Mrs. R. C. Clark was nominated as vice-president of the Western Group of the Waitemata Provincial Executive and delegate to tho conference at Wellington. Points prizes were won by Mesdames Branch and Taylor and Miss Weber. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Dunnet, Taylor and Lumsden. . Ohaupo.—Mrs. Seymour presided at tho annual meeting of tho Ohaupo branch of the Women's Division of tho Farmers' Union. A very satisfactory report on the year's work was given, the balance-sheet showing a good financial position. Tho following officers were elected: —President, Mrs. Seymour: vice-presidents, Mesdames Pierce and Warner; treasurer, Mrs. E. J. Edwards; secretary, Mrs. Jenkinson; assistant secretary, Airs. Viekers; delegates to tho provincial, Mesdames Pierce and Sominerville. The flower competition held during the year was won by Mrs. Warner. The hostesses were Mesdames Sommerville and Pierce. The meeting closed with afternoon tea. Reporoa.—Seven new members were welcomed at the annual meeting. Tho election of officers resulted as follows: —• President, Mrs. G. Campbell; vicepresidents, Mesdames Fitness and Richards; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. H. A. Dare; committee, Mesdames Brown, Handcock, Maitland, ' Ireland nnd A. Corney; §ocial committeo, Mesdames Fitness, Friis, Maitland, Ireland, G. Corney, and Misses H. Brown, P. Corne.v and P. Richards. During the afternoon bouquets were presented to Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Dare, president and secretary for tho past year. North Auckland. Delegates from many branches attended the eighth annual meeting of the provincial executive. The president, Mrs. Lane, reported steady progress throughout the year. Results of elections were: President, Mrs. W. H. Lane; vice-presidents, Mesdames R. Stevenson and V. Donaldson; secretary, Mrs. L. Cleary; housekeeping secretaries, Mesdames H. Horobin and Buckle; northern organiser, Mrs. Hauraki; southern organiser, Mrs. S. Lord; executive, Mesdames C. Smith, J. Evans and S. W. Smith; delegates to Dominion conference, Mesdames W. H. Lane, V. Donaldson and Buckle. Arrangements were made for a meeting at Ohaeawai when the speaker would bo Miss Elsie Andrews, chairman of the Pan Pacific Women's Association. Afternoon tea was served by members of tho Whangarei branch.
