AWARD DISCUSSIONS LITTLE PROGRESS MADE [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION"] WELLINGTON, Thursday Conditions of employment for storemen and packers in the fruit and produce stores in the Dominion were considered in Conciliation Council to-day, Mr. W. J. Reardon presiding. The employees sought a 40-hour fiveday week, with a minimum wage of £5 5s for employees over 21 years of age. The employers' proposals included a 44-hour week of nine hours a day and a minimum wage of £4 10s over 21 years.

Little progress was made. Only holidays and one or two minor clauses governing conditions had been settled when tho council adjourned until tomorrow.
