WEDDINGS IN ENGLAND
LONDON AND SOUTHAMPTON BRIDES FROM NEW ZEALAND [from our own correspondent] LONDON, April 30 Tho marriage was celebrated in London on April 9 of Mrs. Nancy Cranswiek Neal, formerly Redstone, daughter of Mrs. E. Cameron, of Auckland, to Mr. Charles Vernon Balfour Cavendish, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Major Cecil Charles Cavendish, H.L.1., and kinsman ol' His Grace, the Duke of Devonshire. The bride wore a becoming two-piece ensemble of blush pink crepe Louise, adorned with, a spray of lilies of the valley. An attractive navy blue French straw hat was also worn. After tho ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Cavendish left for the New Forest. They will shortly take up their residence in South Kensington, London.

April 30 A wedding of considerable New Zealand interest took place at St. Edmund's Church, Southampton, when Miss Cecily Sproule, daughter of the late Mr. Wilfred Cotton Sproule, 8.A., LL.D., of Napier, and Mrs. Cotton Sproule, of Warsash, Hants, was married to Lieutenant Hugh Salusbury Davenport, 11. N., only son of Major and Mrs. Charles Salusbury Davenport. Canon Mann officiated. The bride, who was given away by Major Maitland Kersey, wore a picturesque gown of parchment-tinted satin, and her long tulle veil, which also formed a train, was surmounted by a coronet of lilies of the valley and orange blossom. Her bouquet was ol orchids and lilies. The bridesmaids were Miss Betty Sproulo (sister of the bride). Miss Muriel Galsworthy, Miss Minnie Downie, Miss Phyllis Verdun-Roe, Miss Patience Hoadley and Miss Connie Morgan. Their Empire dresses were of iceblue lame and they wore head-dresses of gold and parchment-tinted roses. Bouquets of golden roses and irises were carried. Mr. Andrew Leatham, R.N., was best man, and, like the bridegroom, wore full-dress uniform. The bride's mother later held a reception at Hamble House Hamblo, kindly lent by Lady Verdun-Roe.
