WEDDING
McGOUG HAN—WALLACE The marriage was solemnised at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Cambridge, on Saturday, between Miss Xetta Wallace, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Craig Wallace, Bruntwood, Cambridge, and Mr. Alexander Ralph McGougan, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. McGougan, Taneatua. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. W. Hitchcock, assisted by the Rev. H. J. Lilburn, of Hamilton East, and the wedding music was played by Miss Price. The arrival of the bride and her father at the church was heralded by the strains of the pipes as they were met by Pipe-Major Clothier, and piped into the church. The bride looked charming in a gown of ivory satin cut on classical lines. The bodice was folded into a high pointed waist-line with a V-shaped neck-line edged with narrow pleating. The sleeves were long and tight fitting, and finished at the wrist with narrow pleating falling over the hand. The skirt was slim-fitting, falling at the back to a long graceful train, edged with narrow pleating. Her veil of tulle embroidered with . angelskin lace, was caught to the head with a wreath of orange blossom, falling away to make a second train. She carried a crescent bouquet of white chrysanthemums, white and pale pink carnations. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Nan Wallace, and Miss Eunice McGougan, sister of the bridegroom, who were frocked alike in magnolia lace over satin, slim-fitting to the. hips, pleated at the back, and falling into a fullv-flared skirt relieved at the side front waistline with parma violet velvet. They wore hats with crowns composed of shaded _ violet l velvet flowers, with brims of violet net caught at the back with a bow of parma violet velvet ribbon. Shower bouquets of chrysanthemums and anemones in shades of mauve, were carried. Eileen Wallace, niece of the bride, wore a full-length frock of cream frilled net over satin. On her head was a band of parma violet velvet flowers, and she carried a posy of dahlias and asters, in shades of pink and mauve. Mr. H. McGougan, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr. A. Tebbutt, groomsman. The ushers were Messrs. I. Peebles, T. C. Wallace, and C. Wallace. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Peace Memorial Mall. The guests were received by the bride's mother, Mrs. Wallace, who wore a navy ensemble relieved with a jabot of cream georgette and lace, and a hat of navy fur felt to tone. She carried a bouquet of red and bronze roses and chrysanthemums. The bridegroom's mother. Mrs. McGougan, wore a wine ensemble with furs, and navy hat and accessories. Her bouquet was of chrysanthemums and cyclamens in wine shadings. The bride travelled in a princess frock of red earth, with furs, the gift of the bridegroom, and brown hat and accessories to tone.
