PARISH PROGRESS
ST. ANDREW'S, EPSOM Continued progress was reported by the Rev. F. P. de L. Willis at the annual meeting of parishioners of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Epsom. It was stated that the increasing number of communicants on Sunday mornings was an inspiration ami that there was a spirit of co-operation and help in all tho church activities and undertakings. The annual accounts were regarded as Satisfactory and showed a considerable reduction in the parish mortgages. Tho following officers were elected:— Vicar's warden, Mr. A. .T. Grove; people's warden, Mr. H. Frost: vestry, Messrs. Ashley, de Lange. Insull, Johnson, Laud, Mynott, McKinstry, Newcomb, Palmer and Stevens; synodsmen, Messrs. J. 13. Lusk and It. H. Insull.
OFFICERS AT PAPAKURA A combined meeting of parishioners in the Papaknra parish, which includes Takanini, Drurv and Karaka, was held in Christ Cluircli parish hall, when the Rev. Hopkins Sinclair presided over a good attendance. Officers appointed were as follows: — Vicar's warden, Mr. G. F. "Williams; people's warden, Mr. George Kernot; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. P. Gatrell; S.vnodsman, Mr. F. Kirton; central vestry, Messrs. D. J. Graham, G. F. M#)onald, J. E. Cain, A. L., Turner, H. P. Gatrell (Papakura). Messrs. D. Young, W. Robinson, and S. Ad cock (Druiy), Messrs. H. Walters and Urquhart (Karaka), T. Shannon (Takanini). WAITJKU MEETING [VROM OUR OWN CORItKSFONHENT] "WAIUKU, Tuesday The vicar's report at the annual meeting of the Waiuku parochial district showed an increase of about .100 in the number of communicants. There was a fair attendance at tho meeting, which", wits addressed by Messrs. R. H. Instill and K. N. Browne, two members of tho newly-formed loans board. The superintendent o£ the Sunday school made an appeal for more interest and support from the parents of child members. Officers were elected ns follows: Vicar's warden, Mr. H. L. Hull; people's warden. Mr. P. Waugh; secretary, Mr. G. R. Lynch-JMosso; treasurer, Mr. H. li. Armitagc; S.vnodsman, Mr. A. L. Hull; auditor, Mr. J. M. McQuire; vestry, Messrs. H. L. Hull, P. Waugh, Arinitage, Lynch-Hlosse, Jerram, Makgill, Haycock and A. Hill.
