WESLEY 81-CENTENARY
CELEBRATION IN AUCKLAND Throughout the world the bicentenary of Methodism is being observed this month by over 40,000,000 people who are associated with that Cnurch. Described as "the most vivid, crowded, picturesque and remarkable in English history," the life of Wesley must be regarded as having a national importance. Consequently the great bi-cen-tenary rally to be held in the Auckland Town Hall on Thursday, May 26,. is sT matter of interest to all citizens. The Prime Minister* Mr. Savage, will be represented, Sir Eniest Davis, will speak .on behalf of the city, and all the sister phurqhe? will convey greetings. The, speaker for the evening will be Rev. E. Olds, of Pitt Street Church, and the -combined Methodist choirs of Auckland will lead the singing. '
