HIGH-CLASS HOKSES STRONG CUP COMPETITION STUDLEY ROYAL IN FAVOUR A varied programme will be offered by the Ashburton County Racing Club for its winter meeting to-day, betting on this course being win and place. SOUTHLAND FIELDS THE AWARUA HANDICAP WILD CAREER IN FORM The one-day winter meeting of the Southland Racing Club will be held at Invercargill to-day. The Hkrai.d's correspondent telegraphed Inst evening that the weather was promising for the last racing day of the season in the province and that the track would be in good winter order.
