A Holiday Letter
DEAR BOYS AND GIRLS,—
HOLIDAYS are in full swing now, and they started with lovely weather, too. A little bit chilly—yes, but oh, isn't it a delightful feeling to lie in bed in the. early mornings watching the sun chasing the mists from the valleys, and knowing we don't have to leave our warm beds quite as early as usual? There will be so many things to do these holidays, even though it .. too cold for swimming now. I am sure many of you will be visiting the Winter Exhibition, if you have not already been, and for those who are lucky enough to own horses, there is the thrill of the hunt and riding joyously across the countryside, all lessons and school rules forgotten for a few happy weeks. Even when it rains there are many things to be done indoors, things that we have meant to do when we were at school, but never had the time to rtart or finish. Let me see—there is that doll's frock to be knitted, those new stamps to be added to the collection, and a hundred other little items that have been left for so long. Oh, a wet day is very welcome, sometimes! I wonder if many of my readers are fond of gardening. I th.nk it is great fun to have a little garden-bed all one s • , own, and to watch the plants poking their SjJ ' I fragile heads above the brown earth. Wi IfljU i Some day we must have a Garden Page. II U I Q , * Would you like that? There is ever SO J 1 | J much to be said about the garden. I Till next week love and happiness to 1 •11, Boys and Girls, from "
