Art of Make - up Again a Secret
All those men who have lectured their girl friends about making-up in public ( including the sarcastic ones who threatened to bring their shotting tackle out with them I) will now be able to sit back and think that at last their words of wisdom have gone home I With the exception of that feminine flick °f powder, without which we should all feel lost, makingup in public is no longer necessary. Lipstick that quietly disappears with the soup has been replaced by kinds that stay on almost through thick and thin I Manufacturers are using a new base which clings better, but, unlike the old type of indelible lipstick, it is not drying. The skin remains soft and supple while "running repairs" need not take place in public. In fact, make-up is becoming a secret art, as it should be—something to be talked about in whispers and tised in privacy. We need no longer tell the world just where we have given a helping hand to Nature.
