WOMEN'S DIVISION
Thames Valley.—The annual meeting of the Thames Valley provincial executive was held at Pacroa. Mrs. Drinkwater presided and welcomed delegates from the Matotoki and Mangaiti branches. Mrs. Hain reported that 61 positions for housekeepers had been filled during the year. The following officers were elected: —President, Mrs. Drink water; vice-presidents, Mesdames Shilton and Spencer; secretary and treasurer. Mrs. Greenwood; housekeeping secretary, Mrs. Cleave; trustees for the rose bowl fund, Mesdames Cleave and McClcan; committee, Mesdames Olncy, Batclilor and Hooper; delegates to Farmers' Union, Mesdames Drinkwater and Blaekmore; delegate to National Council of Women, Mrs. Shilton; press correspondent, Mrs. Cleave; delegate to Dominion conference. Mrs. Drinkwater. To Kuiti.—The officers elected at the annual meeting were: —President, Mrs. W. H. Fisk; vice-presidents. Mesdames Tappin, W. A. Lee, Baih and Snowden; secretary, Mrs. A.' Sutherland; treasurer, Miss D. Walker: committee, Mesdames Reinhardt, Findlay, Cumberland, Frump ton, Broad, Hunt, Park, J. Roberts, Muller, lugpen and Nehters. Otahuhu.—Tho monthly meeting of the Otahuhu branch was held in Mrs. J. Mclvor's rooms. Mrs. E. Bailey presided. Tho president's badge of office was handed to Mrs. Bailey by the retiring president, Mrs. Barrington, who expressed the members' good wishes for a successful term of office. A bouquet was presented to Mrs. Barrington by Mrs. Clark, who voiced the thanks of tho members for tho work accomplished bv her in the past two - years. The roll-call was: "A good cookery hint. A demonstration was given by Mrs. Yearsley 011 the making of silk mats on frames specially constructed for the purpose. She also displayed a fine collection of her own work, which comprised marquetry, tatting, tapestry boadwork, chrystoleum picture-paint-ing and posies made from shells. Duets were sung by Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Jackson. ~ . Mangatawhiri. —Mrs. Darby presided at the annual meeting of tho provincial executive. After reading a satisfactory report she made a presentation to Miss Mcllroy, in honour of her approaching marriage, and to Mrs. Hastie ami Mrs. Holliday in appreciation of past services. Results of elections were: —President, Mrs. 'Bluek; vice-presi-dents, Mrs. G, Pope and Mrs. McJlroy; secretary, Mrs. Holliday. Whan'garata.—At the fifth annual meeting Mrs. G. Brewster and Miss Kearney, who are leaving the district, were presented with pottery. Tho winners of tlie points prizes, Mrs. J. Fulton and Mrs. L. Ryan, received posy howls. Tho following officers were elected:—Presidents, Mesdames A. Smeed and P. Cooney; secretary, Miss L. Ward; committee, Mesdames A. Lncy, 0. W. Howo, R. Ewing, F. Pollard, L. Ryan and J. Fulton.
