RUGBY SELECTOR
ALL BLACKS TEAM mr. e. Mckenzie chosen STALWART OF THE CODE [BV TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday The appointment of Mr. E. McKenzie, W airarapa, as sole selector for tho All Blacks by the New Zealand Ilugby Union is announced.
Other selectors appointed are:— North Island, Messrs. E. McKenzie, F. W. Lucas (Auckland), T. Craig (King Country). South Island: Messrs. A. A. Adams (West Coast), 11. R. Masters (Canterbury) and A. J. Geddes (Southland).
Mr. E. McKenzie has been one of the stalwarts of New Zealand Rugby for many seasons. He was one of the 6electors_of the 1924, 1928, 19.30, 1935 and 1937 All Blacks, and was manager of the All Blacks team which visited New South Wales in 1925. Also a selector of tho Wairarapa team for some seasons, Mr. McKenzie was referee in the first test match between the All Blacks and tho Springboks at Dunodin in 1921. The All Blacks won this game by 13 points to 5.
