NATIONAL PARTY

LARGE HOWICK GATHERING Over 200 supporters of tho National Party were present at the Howick Town Hall 011 Thursday night when short addresses were given by the four candidates who have been nominated for selection as the party's official candidate in the new Otahuhu electorate at the forthcoming Parliamentary election. The speakers were Messrs.'C. E. Brooke, C. A. Moore. K. 13. Tennent and A. C. Trousdale. After receiving an attentive hearing, the speakers were thanked for their addresses. Delegates were appointed by the gathering to represent the Howick branch of tho National Party at a conference of all branches in the electorate to bo held at Papatoetoe for the purpose of choosing the official candidate.
