AIR LINER CRASH
INJURIES TO VICTIMS EVIDENCE AT THE INQUEST Evidence regarding the injuries suffered by Commander Cyril Mercer Duthie, aped 30, and Second-officer William John Peel, aged 24, who were killed when the Union Airways liner Kotnre crashed at Mangere aerodrome on Tuesday, was given bv Dr. W. Gilniour pathologist at the Auckland Hospital, at an adjourned inquest before Mr. F. K. Hunt, coronor, yesterday. Dr. Gilmour stated that Commander Duthie suffered fractures of the facial bones, the Tipper left arm and right forearm, both thighs and legs, and extensive fractures of tho ribs. The body of Second-officer Peel was extensively burned and injured. The skidl was severely fractured, and both legs and left arm were broken. The inquest was adjourned.
