SERVICES OF MR. S. P. DAY HIGH HONOUR CONFERRED > [feom OCR OWN correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Friday . A tribute to the work of Mr. B.' P. Day, now living in Dargaville, during the years he was president of the Franklin Returned Soldiers' Association, was paid at the annual meeting of the association last night. The president, Mr. S. D. Rice, said that in view of Mr. Day's splendid service, the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association had decided to place his name on the special honours list, and no man more deserved the distinction. Mr. Day. had guided the Franklin association through its- most difficult years, and its success was"due. to his work. . '*! V,
A framed certificate of the honour from the New Zealand association was presented to Mr. Day by Ml*. C. W. Batten, of Wellington, a member of the Dominion executive.
