A, E. Brett, who occupies a flat on the floor above. He had been entertaining ' friends and was preparing for bed shortly after 1 o'clock when he heard a noise from the flat below. break was quickly suppressed. ,/j Considerable damage was done to the lower flat, furnishings and other belongings being destroyed. The windows of the flat aj&ve were broken by >f. the heat and a portion of |the roof also was burned. The building, which is of the two-storey brick type and is owned by Mr. F. P. Foley, is insured for £SOOO with the Yorkshire office.
