WOMEN'S DIVISION
Birkenhead.—At the monthly meeting Mrs. Hannan was appointed president. A new member was welcomed. The members took part in reading and discussion. Wainui.—The following members were elected at the annual meeting:—President, .Mrs. R. T. Carter; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. J. Pascoe; vice-presi-dent, Mrs. Cossey; committee, Mrs. Cutting, Mrs. Shaw, Miss Watkinson and Miss Stevens. The winners of the points prizes for the year were Mrs. Colgan and Mrs. C. Scott. The treasurer's roport showed a good financial position, and it was decided to send gifts to tho community chest fund and the Waitenfata housekeeping fund. Four new members joined. Hostesses for tho afternoon were Mrs. Hawkins and Mrs. H. King. „ Tr .„ Te Awamutu. —Mrs. W. G. presided at tho annual meeting of the J e Awamutu branch. Mrs. Neill presented Mrs F. H. Barnett with a toilet table set and a bouquet in appreciation of her six years' work as secretary of the branch. Mrs. A. E. Eyre, honorary housekeeper-secretary, reported that dU positions had been filled with housekeepers in the To Awamutu branch during the year, and expressed regret that there had been calls for help for which they could not find housekeepers. The secretary presented the balancesheet, which showed the financial position to bo most satisfactory. The points prize for the -year was won by Mrs. J. S. Pattison. The following oificers were elected: —President, Mrs. W. G. Neill: vice-presidents, Mesdames R. Eyre, Houston and Bryant; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. J. S. Pattison; housekeeper-secretary, Mrs. R. Hinton; librarian, Mrs. Worthington; committee, Mesdames Carlisle, Sifleet, Boswell, Donaldson, A Stewart, Budden, Broadbfent, Munro, Collison, Silvester. Lawry, Griggs, Zohrab, Peck and Signal; advisory committee, Mesdames Neill, Hinton, Ryburn and Godfrey; delegates to provincial executive, Mesdames Ryburn, Godfrey, Neill, Pattison and Hinton; social committee, Mesdames Cullen, L. Nicholson and Godfrey; official hostesses, Mesdames Cullen, L. Nicholson and Godfrey.
