THE WAITEMATA SEAT MR. GUINIVEN TO STAND hi response to a request from a large deputation which waited upon him yesterday, the Mayor of Takapuna, Mr. J. Guiniven, has decided to be a candidate for the Waitemata seat at the general election. He told the deputation that he would support the National Party in its fight against Socialism. For some considerable time, said Mr. Guiniven, he had been frequently requested to contest the Waitemata seat, not only by Takapuna residents, but also from various other quarters.
