FULL INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT'S ASSURANCE An assurance that the Department of Agriculture is conducting a full investigation into all probable causes of facial eczema among sheep and cattle has been received by the New, Zealand Sheepowners' Federation. Additional officers are being appointed to ensure that the best possible advice will be available to fanners in the'future, based on past experience and in the light of experience gained during the present epidemic. % , In addition, the federation has been assured that the investigation will be maintained until departmental officers are satisfied that all aspects of the experiences of farmers during the present season have been fully examined. A special officer, who is a recent addition, to the departmental staff from Australia, has also been sent to the. Waikato.
