In 1929 Mr. Warner was appointed' assistant supervisor of the clerical branch of the Napier Post Office, and in 19.31 he returned to Auckland to fill a similar position. His father, Mr. H. M Warner, had been with the Port Office for over 30 years before Mr. W T arner joined the staff. The family thus has had a connection with the Post Office for about 70 years. A presentation of a writing desk was made to Mr. W T arner at the Post Office yesterday. Addresses were given by Mr. W. G. Cooper, the chief postmaster, on behalf of the staff, Mr. H. Patrick, the deputy-chief postmaster, Mr. C. Coad, senior supervisor of the clerical branch, arid Mr. V. Dunne, supervisor of mails. ' ============ ,
