OTAGO MOA BONES
CLASSIFICATION COMPLETED THREE DIFFERENT SPECIES [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] DUNEDIX, Monday An interesting collection of moa bones was recently found by Mr. R. S. Thompson during gold mining at Wetherstone's, near Lawrence, probably the first of its kind made in this locality. These bones are now housed in the University Museum and Dr. Benham has classified them as belonging to the largest Otago moas and also to two of the commonest species of moa.
