CONDITIONS OF WORKERS EXTENSION ORDER ISSUED [by TELEGBAPH—'PJRBSS association] WELLINGTON, Friday Conditions of employment for agricultural workers employed in market, gardens (including market gardens where soft fruit is produced) in the Wellington and Nelson' industrial'districts are prescribed in an agricultural workers' extension order issued with the Gazette. It is- possible, however, it is stated, that the order may be extended to other districts later. ; v The order, which came into force on April 22, provides for a 44-hour s£day week and for an annual holiday of one week. The wages fixed for youths aged from 15 to 17, are 20s a week, and increases, according to the age of workers, to 60s for those aged 20 to 21. Thereafter adult rates apply. Adult weekly workers are to receive £4 a week and casuals 2s an hour. Female adults are to receive £2 8s a week. A male adult worker receiving more than £4 a week is to receive an increase of not less than 2s 6d a week on his present wage.
