NEW ACT IN BRITAIN ' LONDON, April 13 Sir Boyd Merriman, President of the Divorce Division, said to-day that th<> effect of tho Matrimonial Causes Act was just being felt. Since January 1. 1938, the petitions had been almost double- those for the corresponding period of 1937, and there was no sign of any abatement. The Courts had dealt with nearly 2000 cases during the term.
