WAGES IN BRITAIN
INCREASES IN .1937 British Wireless RUGBY, April 20 A survey by the Ministry of Labour shows that in 1937 there was a marked rise in the general rates of wages, Tho number of workers whoso wages were increased and the total amount of tho increase were greater than in any year since 1920. In all industries, including agriculture, tho average level is estimated to have risen by more than four per cent.
