BIRKENHEAD CANDIDATES NON-POLITICAL POLICY A selection b.v ballot from a number of names submitted has been made by the Birkenhead Ratepayers and Residents' Committee (non-political) for the nine seats on the Birkenhead Borough Council. Every candidate is pledged not to introduce national party politics into municipal business. It was decided to support the reelection of Air. E. J. Osborne for the mayoralty. The nine candidates chosen for the Borough Council are: —Messrs. Albert Hadfield, James Priekett, W. 11. Payne (sitting members), N. J. Campbell, N. 11. Stewart, L. T. Hayman, A. E. Wood, J. Boatwood and A. R. Tout. CITIZENS' ASSOCIATION HAMILTON CANDIDATES [nv tklkgraph—own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday The nominations of the recentlyformed Hamilton Citizens' Association for the local body elections were announced by the selection committee at a well-attended meeting of the association to-night. The candidates are as follows: — Mayoralty, Mr. H. D. Caro; Waikato Hospital Board, Mr. F. Findlay and Mr. T. G. Reynolds; Auckland Harbour Board, Dr F. D. Pinfold; Hamilton Borough Council, Messrs. A. M. Bislev, J. R. Fow, D. L Gate, H. MHammond, R. McCaw, F. C. House, F. Findlay, T. G. Reynolds, W. 11. Shaddock, H, Rolfe, T. J. Shaw, J. E. Tidd. Prior.to the announcement of the association's nominees the election of officers took place, resulting as follows:—President, Mr. A. W. Ward; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. J. Parlane and H. J.
