PRESENTATION

The stationmaster at Dargaville, Mr. A. L. Shand, who will leave this weekend on transfer to Wellington, was presented with a chiming dock by .members of the station staff and friends. In making tho presentation, Mr. C. Soar spoke of Mr. Shand's work for the department, and of tho spirit of friendship that existed between Mr. Shand and all members of tho staff. The many courtesies Mr. Shand had extended to clients were referred to by Mr. S. Berridgo, manager of the Northern Wairoa Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited.
