MILITARY CONCERT

A jponeert was given by the orchestra of the Devonport Orphans' Club in the hall the military district school of instruction, Narrow Neck, on Wednesday flight. Dr. Sehvyn do Clive Lowe organised the concert and conducted the orchestra. The programme was opened with orchestral numbers, including a selection from "lolantW and the fifth Hungarian dance by Brahms. Dr. do Uive Lowe wks heard in the violin numV er , s I J ° i nd °nderry Air" and "Song of India, by Rimsky-Korsakoif, and Mr: J. Davids played the cornet solos "Stili as the Night" and "Los Folies," accompanied by the orchestra. Other artists were Mrs. Buisson, who sang a bracket' of Herman Lohr songs, "Nairab," who gave a display of conjuring, and Mr. Bex Yates, who "was heard in three recitations.
