NEW HOSPITAL BLOCK
iWAIKATO BOARD'S PREMISES THE OFFICIAL OPENING [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Thursday The commodious new administrative block of the Waikato Hospital Board recently completed in Marlboro Place, Hamilton, was officially opened this afternoon by the chairman of the board. Mr. j. j. Ryburn. It was a proud day for the board "to have .at last its own board room, which was ono of, if not the finest, in the Dominion, and its own administrative buildings, said Mr. Ryburn. Ho mentioned that the new building had been erected at a cost of £8990.
Congratulations on having established a place for its staff and a board room for itself were extended to the board by the Mayor of Hamilton, Mr. J. R Fow. He congratulated the board not only on the magnificent site of the ucw block, but' also on the beautiful building, which was a great amenity to Hamilton. Dr. T. H. A. Valentine. Directorof Health from 1307 to 1930, also paid tribute to the advancement made by the Waikato Hospital Board Dr. H. Douglas, formerly medical superintendent of the Waikato Hn»pita!._ outlined the history of the board'h activities. He paid tribute to the work of the present superintendent. Dr. AT M. Hockin. Mr. Ryburn then declared the new building open. The guests inspected the premises and were entertained by memhers of the hoard at afternoon tea.
