A LAND POLICY
Sir, —I read with considerable surprise and satisfaction that such a firm believer in "orthodox" political economy like Mr. J. Johnstone, of Manurewa, is aware of the economic social injustice of the private appropriation of the "site value" of land. The State will have gone a long way toward an ideal distribution of wealth whon the community created value of land reverts to the national exchequer. The individual has no moral right to it. My remedy would be to begin now and deprive him of 75 per cent of it at the rate of 1J per cent per annum. Alexander FRABER.
