The last day of the Auckland Itacing Club's Easter Meeting tit Ellerslie attracted a very large attendance, and the course presented a gay sight. There were many spectators also at the Now Zealand University tournament athletic meeting in the Domain, and at the tennis matches on the Stanley Street courts. A morning event in the tournament was the final eight-oar rowing race over a three miles' course between St. Heliers and the Tamaki Yacht Club's boathouso at Bastion Point.
